Love Burn 2026

LoveBurn Container Load-In MOVED to Saturday 1/24

Hello LoveBurn 2026 pARTicipants! As you are no doubt aware by now, there is an extremely serious winter storm headed our way. While we normally take a “come rain or shine” approach for load-in we cannot ignore this storm, if for nothing else than that neither the shipping company we work with nor the parking lot operators can guarantee that Sunday Load-IN would be possible at all under those conditions.

We understand that this will be a challenge for many of us, but in the spirit of burning man we hope that everyone can make it work! If, however, you ABSOLUTELY cannot make it to Load-IN on Saturday, we will try and provide an alternative transport option (likely using our own trailer, although we had originally not planned to take that to LoveBurn).

Please, PLEASE try to make it on Saturday though, as we would really like to avoid having to tow a trailer this year. If you know that you absolutely cannot make it, please let us know via email. Finally: if we cannot find a way to offer you an alternative that works for you we will of course reimburse your reservation!

Load-In

When: Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 09:00 – 13:00 – DO NOT BE LATE!!
Location: Thomas McGovern Dr, at the corner with Edward Hart Rd
FB Load-In Eventhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1223977089678222/
Make sure to print your QR code and tape it to your bins for easy identification!

PS: we’ve considered postponing, but that would mean loading in on a weekday evening which would be equally if not more difficult for many, and by the time snow clearing operations make loading in possible again – which might not be until Tuesday or Wednesday – we would be running into time constraints which would cause the container to be late arriving at LoveBurn.

SALES LINK: Love Burn 2026 Container Sale

PLEASE get the 27 gallon yellow-top bins from LOWES if you’re buying new bins.
Compatible bins at other stores: Costco, Sams, Walmart
Home Depot has similar-but-not-quite-the-same bins that don’t stack well with Lowes (and other compatible) bins. Yes, we do allow Home Depot bins, but we *really* prefer the standard bins. Don’t buy new bins at HD if you can avoid it.

Load-In Timeslots

Load-In Timeslots are based on your arrival date at Love Burn. The earlier you arrive, the later your time-slot and the closer to the doors your bins will be in the container.

Please stick to these timeslots!! If you don’t you’re making life harder for other people, as your bins will be in the way of earlier arrivals. And in turn, your bins will get shoved around, climbed on, etc.

Whatever you do, DON’T BE LATE!! At 13:00 the container doors will get locked and the container gets picked up.

LoveBurn Arrival Date Load-In Time
Event Thursday, 2/5 and later 09:00 – 09:30
Pre-Event Wednesday, 2/4 09:30 – 10:30
Tuesday, 2/2 10:30 – 11:15
Monday, 2/10 11:15 – 12:00

Are you bringing Art?

Art Transport Grants are available for any art project that you may want to bring to the event. Please remember that:
* This is a donation funded program, and there are no guarantees on payouts – don’t depend on this to make your project financially viable.
* You must reserve and pay for the necessary space for your art project. Reimbursements will happen *after* the event, and amounts will vary depending on donations.
* This is only meant for your art, not your personal items.
* Check out our Gallery of previous Art Transport Grants Recipients!

Bikes & Batteries

Bikes: MUST be shipped in bike boxes.

E-bike batteries (and batteries in general) are NOT permitted on the container. We DO offer a separate transport service for your e-bike batteries at $25 / battery round-trip. Batteries will be collected at load-in, and will travel with some of our campers via road.

“Regular” e-bike batteries only! No lead-acid batteries, no massive batteries for your mutant vehicle.

Fill-out this form if you’re interested and send PayPal or Venmo as listed on the form.

At Love Burn

We plan to be on-site by Monday, February 2, well on time for any camp’s early arrival team to pick up their bins from us.

Location: Same as last year, first camp right inside the gate on Arthur Lamb blvd.

On-site transport:
* There will be shuttles to get your bins to your camp
* we likely (TO BE CONFIRMED!) will have a vehicle of our own (uhaul van or similar) to help you out if no shuttles are available, as in previous years

More Info

Pretty much all the same rules apply as for our containers to Burning Man.

We’re working on a general info page that will apply to both burning man & love burn, but in the mean time check our Burning Man 2025 page if you have never used the container before and have questions. You can also ask around on our Facebook page, or email us at: info@nyccontainer.org
